Tommy D. Dorris
Vancouver

Tommy Dearl Dorris, who came to Vancouver nine years ago, died of a heart attack Friday, Oct. 19, 2001, at Southwest Washington Medical Center. He was 54.

Mr. Dorris was born April 18, 1947, in Oklahoma City. He was a retired truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Linda R., at home; five daughters, Lana G. Benson of Ropesville, Texas, Tommie-Lin Dorris of Vancouver, Crystal D. Ross of Lacey, Wash., L. Angela Dorris of Vancouver and Heather L. Dorris of Vancouver; three sons, Patrick T. of Oregon, Troy D. of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Thomas of Vancouver; one sister, Mary Hockameyer of Oklahoma City; and 14 grandchildren.

Mr. Dorris, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, was a member of the Society of the Fifth Infantry Division.

A service will begin at noon Wednesday at Vancouver Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
